My story
Born and raised in Gouda, the Netherlands, I am currently based in Amsterdam. With two Turkish parents and part of my childhood spent in Turkey, I grew up between cultures speaking three different languages on a daily base (Dutch, Turkish, and English).
From an early age, I was fascinated by human behavior and social structures. This led me to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management and a Master's in Culture, Organization and Management. During these years I explored how people behave within organizations and why we behave the way we do. My Master's thesis focused on organizational identification among HR professionals. A qualitative study on what makes us feel connected to a company, when we experience a sense of beloning and and how we feel actually valued.
Over the past years, I have worked as in interim HR Consultant, delivering HR services as HR Advisor or HR Business Partner across several corporate organizations, including Kuehne+Nagel, Enexis and Archer Daniel Midlands. In these roles, I gained direct experience with corporate HR processes such as recruitment, remuneration, employment law, performance management and organizational restructuring.

The combination of growing up in a multicultural environment with a dual nationality, my interest in human motivation and my HR background comes together in the work I do today. I feel most fulfilled when I help professionals align with the right career path and support them in navigating their job search. This is exactly why I started Nesrin Parlak Coaching in January 2026 with the goal of supporting professionals all over the world.

Outside of my professional life, you can find me dancing salsa or bachata, or exploring new cultures through travel. In 2025 I reached a personal milestone of visiting 50 countries, with highlights including Ecuador (2023), Afghanistan (2024) and Tanzania (2025).
